One Step Closer For RoughNeX.LoL![]() Since the departure of Faffy RoughNeX.LoL has had a bit of trouble getting the high placements they once had in ESL Go4LoL and been strugling to get into the top 10. After trials from some of the best players on East and testing of different roles within the team RoughNeX.LoL seems to have find their winning formula. The first three rounds went switfly as the opponents did not prove much of a challenge against an RNX squad on form. In the 4th round however RoughNeX.LoL was up against the new top team Eternity who had in the previous Go4LoL Cup knocked out one of the worlds best teams MYM and ended up 3rd in that same cup. RoughNeX.LoL brought their a-game when they needed it the most though and even though Eternity played rather well RoughNeX.LoL just seemed unstoppable and could counter everything Eternity tried to do and ended up winning after only 30 minutes and a score of 13-5. After such a domininat display the team was full of confidence and knew this could be the time they would end up breaking their curse and have a chance to win the prestigious Go4LoL Cup. In the quarterfinals the next opponent was another new team with some very highly skilled individual players called NoNames. The team had some of the highest rated soloq players on East and four of them had platinum rank from season one whereas RoughNeX.LoL has one (Badcarma). After some banter in the lobby about the ranks the game was set to start and RNX was about to show that rankings and past achievements from season one means nothing anymore and once again won their game fast with the clock not reaching 35 minutes. The score ended 23-13 in kills to RNX's favour and especially Chech at the top lane and Badcarma in the middle lane were the ones picking up the kills with Chech going 7-3-10 as Vladimir and Badcarma going huge with 10-1-10 as Morgana and completly dominated Orianna in the middle lane. Both in game and in the lobby after the game we got to hear a lot of flaming from the NoNames player Vqqxlol who was furious with the result and thought himself as a much better player than the rest. This caused a lot discussion within his own team and the East community and we will be sure to have some heat for the next time these two teams clash. With RNX now having reached the semifinal which is the highest the team has even gotten in Go4LoL and beaten some top teams on the road they were in high spirits and ready to take on any opponent left standing in their way. RNX faced their ever rivals MARVEL who have knocked out RNX twice in Go4LoL in a short time, this time it would prove to be a completly different outcome than their past encounters. MARVEL had in their past encounters dominated the mid game and giving RNX quite a harsh bashing but this time RNX was ready for them and banned some champions that proved to be decisive in their win. InDaHole from MARVEL is one of the best, if not the best, Skarner players in East and in their past meetings he has had a big role in their wins. This time however he got banned along with Udyr and with his two favorite junglers out the ecuasion he had to choose Nocturne. This proved to be a very wise decision as he only managed to get one assist in the entire game in a match which was very well played tactically with a minimal amount of deaths. Both teams died a total of 8 times (!) in 23 minutes and the scores ended with a very one sided 7-1 to RNX with the team only loosing two towers the entire game and not a single baron or dragon fight. Now RoughNeX.LoL were in their first final ever on Go4LoL and faced the ex-HCL now McM squad who has been a difficult opponent in the past and proved to be so once again. After almost one hour there was finally a team that could crown themself this weeks best East team with McM winning the kills 20-11 and winning most of the dragon and baron fights. McM did some very good banning picks with taking out Chech's and Badcarma's best champions from the past games in the cup and RNX tried a wildcard in taking LeBlanc middle which proved to be the wrong choice as the early kills the champion needs in order to snowball were not happening and eventually the RNX team lacked the dps in order to win. RoughNeX wish to congratulate McM for their Go4LoL win and of course our League of Legends squad to gain their highest placement on Go4LoL yet. The team is forever improving and we hope to see the team as number one soon! Don't forget to follow
